This project was for a course that related to fashion history, starting at the 1600's all the way to present time.

We had the opportunity to choose our era for the project and we picked the 1960's. Our concept was how this century transfomed from the classic 60's to the Twiggy era (late 60's). The picture above is from a slide in our presentations showcasing our sketches.

Project Requirements

For this project we were required to showcase an era and were trends were popular at the time. We had to create a moodboard on how we were presenting this era and the designs that were relevant to this era. We had to use a social media site that presented our creation. Our group used Pinterest. We had to create sketches then create a physical design that represented our era with recycled materials, such as old clothers, recycled paper and other household products. We also had to explain what our inspiratiopns were for the project as well, which we used Jackie Kennedy and Twiggy.

I found this project enjoyable because it allowed us to use our creative side and understand that fashion has never stopped revolving and changing.
